Cardamone
ELETTARIA CARDAMOMUM
Growing wild in the tropical and subtropical forests of Asia, particularly in the Cardamom Mountains of southern Cambodia, this spice has also gradually made its way to the Kulen Mountains. Its cultivation requires careful attention, with specific levels of moisture, humidity, and shade.
This demanding growth process bears fruit in the form of a spindle-shaped spice with a distinctive flavour, described as a herbal warmth combining notes of eucalyptus, mint, and pepper.
In addition to its aromatic scent, cardamom contains antioxidants and has diuretic, anti-inflammatory, and relaxing properties that may support improved breathing and oxygen intake. Its strong aroma and flavour can be found in our gin and herbal tea.
