Also called Seville orange, this fruit native to southeast asia has been spread globally. The name comes from the fruit’s very distinct bitter taste, though sometimes it might be sour. This unique bitterness adds another dimension of flavor to both our gin and herbal tea.
We, at our medicine forest garden, have slowly started cultivating the plant where we usually carefully harvest the fruit when it’s plump and most mature possible to ensure the most aromatic scent and strongest flavor.
Traditionally, the orange has been used in medicine to treat digestive issues and nausea.
